Update

I thought that I would bring this blog up to date. I am sorry to say that Joan shouldn't use her hands to type. She had a doctor visit yesterday in Bountiful and the result is that she will have surgery on her right thumb on February first in Bountiful. They are going to remove a bone in her right thumb and replace it with a metal rod. Then at sometime in the future the rod will be removed. She will have a cast for about 5-7 weeks. That means that I will be able to help with the house work, cook, do the shopping etc. Joan feels good about the surgery because it should stop the tremendous pain in her right hand. She is going to have to mind and not try to use that hand. At some future time she will have surgery on her left hand. The surgery is in and out or same day surgery. It will take about an hour and a half and another hour and a half for her to wake up etc.
Today is a beautiful sunshiny day. Yesterday we had a lot of snow and I was happy when Bruce and Sharon said they would take Joan to her doctor appointment. The road got pretty nasty,, especially over in Bountiful.
When the sun shines like it is today it normally will bring my daffodils up early. Of course my prediction is that spring will arrive in February.
My thought for today is taken from the lesson I will teach to the High Priests next Sunday.
"Personal revelation is the way we know for ourselves the most important truths of our existence" Elder Hales
Hope all of you have a great day, we love you all.
